🌳 The Acorn Seed: From a Small Beginning to a Victory

Never overlook the acorn. You never know what God has planted inside a seed!

When you are a visionary, you see beyond what is in front of you. You see the bigger picture, even when you have no idea how everything will come together. Sometimes, building the right team, brand, and legacy takes years of preparation, patience, faith, and perseverance.

In May 2010, my father, Professor Gary Lee , spoke something powerful into my life: “You are a Professional Maximizer.” Around that same season, I received a prophetic word that I would have a business in a building.

Those words became the foundation of what would eventually grow into Legacy Tree Ministries, Girls Gifted 4 God Outreach, and Legacy Tree Thrift Shop—a community resource center that provided clothing, food assistance, and opportunities for people working toward a better life.

I remember God showing me an image of an acorn growing into an orchard. At the time, I didn’t fully understand what it meant. Today, I can see that He was showing me something much bigger than what I could imagine.

But my journey wasn’t without pain.

While I was serving my community , my personal life was falling apart. After 28 years of marriage, I faced one of the hardest decisions of my life. In 2018, I stepped away from the life I had known and began rebuilding on my own.

There were silent tears, depression, uncertainty, broken relationships, and seasons when I questioned what was next. I made mistakes along the way, including allowing people into my life who were not aligned with God’s plan for me. My compassion sometimes caused me to overlook what I should have recognized.

But God continued to give me the strength to move forward.

Little by little, I rebuilt. I invested in relationships, volunteered, served others through Girls Gifted 4 God outreach, made connections, and used my experiences to help people recognize their own potential. As I helped others grow, I was growing and healing, too.

I became brave. I became bold. And I learned that starting over doesn’t mean starting from nothing.

Over the past eight years, I have continued rebuilding the Robin Shockley brand through RShockley Enterprises LLC. What began as a vision to help people recognize their purpose has opened doors to national and international connections, red-carpet hosting, television and radio media, acting, public relations, and opportunities to serve businesses and individuals across the country.

Through Focus Forward with Robin Focus , that vision continued to expand. Today, I am also growing S.W.I.F.T. Magazine and Swiftmag Media, building a team that shares the vision of storytelling, media exposure, empowerment, and community impact.

And I haven’t forgotten where it all began.

In 2017, when I felt broken and was facing the possible loss of my marriage and community thrift shop, God used Toya Y. Moore to speak a word over my life. She recognized me for my community service without knowing the full extent of what I was facing. She said I don’t know what this means but you are not supposed to be planted in one place. People used to say; “Robin you’re doing too many things, you need to choose one thing, Robin you need to slow down. “

But they and I myself didn’t know while I was out here serving people in the community, I was building myself at the same time.

I believe that moment when Toya came in my shop was divinely aligned. I couldn’t see the orchard then, but today I can recognize the seeds that were being planted, now are all over the world!

Now, 26 years into the journey of becoming and walking as a Professional Maximizer, I am honoring others with awards that carry the very words my father Gary Lee spoke over me in May 2010.

Why am I sharing all of this?

Because there is a price to be paid when you carry a vision and a purpose that require you to grow beyond your comfort zone. There will be detours, disappointments, hard lessons, and seasons when the vision seems far away. But those seasons do not have to be the end of your story.

As visionaries, we must keep our eyes on the assignment. When we become distracted by the wrong people, choices, or opportunities, we can lose our direction. We must learn, realign, and keep moving forward in faith.

I am still growing. My businesses are not yet where I desire them to be, and I am still searching for the right people who believe in the vision and the mission of RShockley Enterprises. But I believe there is more ahead than I can presently see.

🌳 Your beginning does not determine your ending.

🌱 Small beginnings can produce victorious endings.

🌿 Never despise the seed just because you cannot yet see the orchard.

Keep planting. Keep believing. Keep growing. Keep your vision in front of you.

The acorn may look small, but in God’s hands, it can become an orchard!
