more than a memory. It’s a message of perseverance and following God‘s path …..

I never forget when I was asked to receive the honor of this award. Let’s backtrack to 10 years prior. I’ve always had a heart to give to others. But back in 2005 in 2006 I went through some of the hardest parts of my life journey and I told God if he ever got me out of that situation I would be devoted to serving his people, no matter what I face in my life.



So over the next several years I got right with God. I got involved in leadership teaching and mentoring and even became ordained in the church. I Went through some Church hurt, but I still didn’t let it Stop me from serving God’s people. I went through counseling outside of my city and receive my healing.

I was very involved behind the scenes and never got noticed for anything. I actually didn’t believe I was worthy of receiving any acknowledgment because I wasn’t qualified. I didn’t have a degree but I just loved God‘s people and helping them. I didn’t understand back then about how God will keep you hidden until the appropriate time.

I wasn’t really concerned about getting noticed because my heart was very pure and I was learning how to rebuild me again to help people.

I opened up a little thrift store in the community of Berea and San Souci called Legacy Tree Thrift Shop where I had a food pantry as well as a resource center in the back for people to come get food boxes once a week and get information for other outside resources.

This particular actress CeeCee Michaela, many know her from the lifetime TV series Girlfriends show had recently moved to the area. We had met and she had been watching me for a while what I do in the community to help people.

She wanted to acknowledge me for the work I do in the community with several other community advocates. I was blown away.

I was very close with God back then as I am today. And I had a conversation with God. I told him he will never have to acknowledge me again because just getting that little trophy that spoke “ created brilliance award” was top-tier to me.

But shortly after those words come out of my mouth immediately, the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said , “this is just the beginning. I have

apointed you to make your name Great this will be the first of many”

Back then in 2016, I had no clue that I would be in position today to not only receive the presidential lifetime achievement award, numerous community and leadership awards as well as media awards. But what is so special to me is that I have taken what has been given to me and created a brand to acknowledge others the same way I was acknowledged back in 2016 after serving many years prior never being noticed. Which now is called the professional maximizer awards.

I said all of this to say it’s not by accident that you’re reading this. My post is not meant for arrogance. It is meant for clarity. It is meant for the one who was feeling left out the one who was feeling unnoticed the one who is serving without pause for the good of human kindness.

Don’t despise small beginnings . What you make happen for others in the Secret Place God will make known for his glory in the public.

As the creator and director of the professional maximizer awards, I look to serve no matter what position I have been granted. I could care less about the titles and the accolades that have been given to me. My number one passion is service to others. And that is who I am and that is who I will forever be.

So I will always cherish this little bitty trophy, the smallest award, and the first that I’ve ever received. May you continue the race of service and continue to stand by the Scriptures
