Choosing your standards and believing in them

He Didn’t Lose a Good Woman—He Lost the Woman Who Covered for the Man He Refused to Become

A S.W.I.F.T. Magazine Message for Single Women In Focus Today

Sometimes a man will say, “She stopped talking to me because there must be another man.”

But have you ever stopped to ask yourself: What happened before she walked away?

Maybe she got tired of the mystery.

Maybe she got tired of unanswered questions.

Maybe she noticed the disappearing acts, the inconsistent communication, and the excuses that never quite added up.

Maybe she simply realized that the man she hoped you would become was not the man you were choosing to be.

That is a big difference.

Ladies, hear me clearly: walking away does not always mean someone else came along. Sometimes it means you finally chose yourself.

A woman can love you, support you, encourage you, believe in you, and still decide that inconsistency is not what she wants for her life.

And single women, this is where we have to wake up!

You are allowed to desire consistency. You are allowed to expect honesty. You are allowed to want communication, intentionality, emotional maturity, and a relationship where you don’t have to constantly wonder where you stand.

You get to choose.

Stop believing that accepting every opportunity is better than waiting for the right opportunity. Everyone who shows interest does not automatically deserve access to your heart, your time, or your energy.

And please understand this: your standards are not the problem simply because someone cannot meet them.

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is walk away from what continually confuses you and make room for what brings you peace.

You don’t have to chase.

You don’t have to compete.

You don’t have to convince someone to value you.

And you don’t have to shrink your expectations just to keep someone around.

There are good men in this world who are ready for genuine connection, commitment, communication, and partnership. That doesn’t mean every man is your man. Choose wisely.

Open yourself to new opportunities beyond the people and places you have always known. Expand your circle. Try something different. Meet new people. Experience new environments.

There are more possibilities beyond your current circle of influence.

So, ladies, don’t be afraid to put your heart back out there—but fish wisely! 🎣

You carry a special kind of charm, wisdom, strength, and purpose. Don’t hand your fishing rod and reel to just anybody!

Know your worth.

Know what you want.

Know what you will and will not tolerate.

And remember:

He didn’t lose a good woman. He lost the woman who was willing to believe in the man he could become.

When she finally realized he wasn’t becoming that man, she chose to stop waiting.

That’s not rejection. That’s self-respect.

S.W.I.F.T. women—Single Women In Focus Today—choose wisely, walk boldly, and never be afraid to say, “This is no longer for me.”

Your future is too valuable to keep negotiating with inconsistency.
