S.w.i.f.t. Magazine gives statement in reference to team member Javon Dendy arrest during altercation shooting

I would like to make a public statement On behalf of knowing Javon Dendy, aka VAD3r, music artist, videographer, actor and young man highly respected in the community.  I, Robin Shockley, representing as his friend, his mentor of Swiftmag Media and PR for his music profession, publicly ask that you do not assume judgement based on comments on social media.  

Early this morning Javon turned himself in after shooting a thirty year old man who refused to stop approaching him when advised to do so while on Javon’s grandfathers property according to witnesses. 

There is more to this story than just a young man shooting another older man. And until further sources are disclosed , it is asked by the family of Javon Dendy to show the respect to not try to communicate unless contacted.

Based on the facts,  I personally can share of  knowing Javon since last Summer of 2025

And working with him, he has proven to be of excellent character and role model for the media industry.

 I’ve known Javon  as a humble and soft spoken young man who had a lot going for him as an actor and a music artist. As long as I’ve known him all he cares about is making music and a difference in his world, definitely not drama. He has told me personally he wanted to make a statement to his generation that you can live a positive life and make something of yourself.

What has happened with his arrest and to the gentleman who died during an argument altercation is very sad because an argument escalated into gun violence and a person lost his life.  

I am deeply sorry that a life was lost today and my prayers go out to all involved during this tragic situation.  May all parties involved get the proper counseling necessary to heal as they process today’s heartache.
