S.W.I.F.T. Magazine is excited to highlight Ms. Dorothy D Waters as our fall of 2026 international brand cover woman for the Magazine. I’ve worked with her personally and she carries a deep passion for purpose.
About the woman on the cover:
Dorothy Hellen Waters Dawson is a proud mother of two sons and one glamorous granddaughter whose life is defined by faith, resilience, service, and purpose. A passionate educator, she has dedicated her career to inspiring and empowering her students, believing that education has the power to transform lives.
As a breast cancer survivor of 14?years, Dorothy turned one of life’s greatest challenges into a mission of hope. After losing both her mother sister coworkers and friends to breast cancer, she became committed to educating others about the importance of breast health, early detection, and awareness. She founded Light in the Journey Inc., a nonprofit organization devoted to breast cancer education and community outreach. For the past five years, she has also proudly served with the Susan G. Komen organization as an Ambassador Advocate, and public speaker, using her voice to encourage, educate, and inspire others.
Stepping out on faith, Dorothy entered her very first fashion show later in life—a decision that opened the door to an exciting modeling and acting career. As a late bloomer in the fashion industry, she embraces every runway as an opportunity to tell her story. Her fierce presence on the runway is more than fashion; it is a reflection of strength, survival, and purpose. Through modeling, she has found another platform to help people understand the journey that shaped her and to encourage others to face life’s challenges with courage and confidence.
Whether she is helping her middle school students to become more successful, speaking to audiences, advocating for breast cancer awareness, or walking the runway, Dorothy’s mission remains the same: to inspire others to live with faith, resilience, and hope while reminding them that it is never too late to discover a new purpose
We are very excited to highlight and honor this extraordinary woman who is a great role model in the community in which she resides.

Background: The vision for S.W.I.F.T. Magazines emerged in 2022 while traveling. After writing for multiple magazines over five years and experiencing life as a single woman post a 28-year marriage, the founder recognized the importance of motivating and inspiring single women.
Contributors: Include both male and female single and married individuals, providing valuable insights to support single women.
Mission: Transforming personal blessings to storytelling, the journey began with social media stories that resonated with viewers. S.W.I.F.T. Magazine now an international magazine, serves as a platform for single women to find
inspiration and motivation.
